Congratulations to Sterling’s First LEGO League (FLL) team, the Rainbow Masters, for representing South Carolina at an international tournament in California this summer! Team members Luke Shiner, Avinash Muthukumaran, Graham Harris, Akshaj Patel, Methu Attanayake, and Luma Swenson had an incredible opportunity to showcase their skills on an international stage. We are so proud of our Griffins!

First LEGO League gives students hands-on opportunities to develop skills in robotics, programming, engineering design, problem-solving, teamwork, and collaboration—all while having a lot of fun!

Interested in Joining the Adventure?

Is your student interested in becoming part of a robotics team? Or are you a parent willing to help coach? Join us for an FLL Informational Meeting on Friday, August 28 at 2:45 PM in the Vegas Room. Members of the Rainbow Masters will be there to share their experiences, provide additional information, and answer questions.

Unable to attend? Students may pick up an interest form in the front office. Please note that the formation of teams will depend on having parents willing to serve as coaches.

Get Ready to Make a Splash! The Bubble Run is our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year, and it’s about to get bubbly! This incredible event helps fund all of the PTA events, programs, and special experiences that make our school year extra memorable for our students and teachers.

And here’s something we’re especially proud of: we keep the fundraiser completely in-house! That means more than 95% of the profits stay with our school, compared to just 45% with Boosterthon. That’s a whole lot more bubbles for our buck!

But we can’t make the magic happen without YOU! Whether you volunteer before the event, help behind the scenes, or join the Bubble Run Committee, every helping hand makes a difference. Your support allows us to keep creating fun, memorable experiences and meaningful programs for our students and teachers all year long.

Click here to volunteer and jump into the fun! Want to be part of the Bubble Run Committee specifically? Email us at sterlingctcpta@gmail.com. And if you’d like to volunteer on the day of the event, keep an eye out for our SignUp Genius coming soon! The more volunteers we have, the more fun we can make it! Let’s make this year’s Bubble Run our biggest, bubbliest, BEST one yet!
