A Note From the Principal
Happy New Year, SIS Families!
It has truly been an amazing first semester! They say time flies when you're having fun and based on that statement, we must be really rocking it at SIS!
I am happy to report that students are off to a good start this semester and had an easy transition back to the grind post break! Thank you for your support of your child in getting him/her back into routines!
Our spring semester is packed with learning and activities include state testing, a field trip or two, another book fair, spring conferences, track and field day, and much more! Let's make the most of the second half of the year and see what more we can celebrate!
Yours in Education,
Mrs. Holtz

Library News
New Year, New Books!
This month we will be reviewing our library skills and starting our digital citizenship lessons at the end of the month. We will also learn the long, lost art of how to use a dictionary. Many thanks to the Coralville/North Liberty Rotary Club who has donated a dictionary for every 4th grader to keep.
We currently have quite a few books overdue, so make sure you look in backpacks and under beds for those missing books!
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out at msutton@solon.k12.ia.us
