Budget Message from PRSD

Here is a link for a brief video (approximately 6 minutes long) that discusses the PRSD budget, what happens if the budget FAILS and what happens if the budget PASSES. It also explains how you can voice your opinion and vote in favor or against the budget at all three Town Meetings (all taking place on 4/24) and, again in Groveland and Merrimac on the ballot on May 1st.

As always, if you want more information, pentucketbudget.com is a good location for that information. That site also has a calculator where a homeowner can input their town and assessed property value (not what you can sell it at) to see how much the override would cost on a monthly or annual basis.

As you watch the video, feel free to pause it and review the slides. Two slides, in particular, may be important and those are the slides that explains what is cut if the budget fails and what happens if the budget passes.

Be well!

CAMPUS UPDATE FOR APRIL VACATION

A few important notes for April break:

1. The parking area on the stadium side of campus will be under construction during break. If students or parents need to access the track, courts or fields behind the stadium they will need to park on the school side of campus and use the walkway. This will only be impacted during vacation week, the stadium parking area will be back in use on April 24th.

2. There will be a variety of construction related tasks happening during vacation week. We typically wait for vacations to do certain kinds of work. If you are coming to campus you should expect to see a lot of activity from concrete pouring, grading and paving, artificial turf installation at the stadium, planting, seeding and large cranes installing trees or making roof top repairs.
