The Stable is Now Open The Stable is Now Open

Over the past few years, our district has seen a wave of exciting construction projects — one of the most notable being the launch of our brand-new in-house coffee shop, “The Stable.” The concept was originally dreamed up by marketing students Rylee Merrow and Travis Filpansick, who successfully pitched the idea to Superintendent Lisa Taylor and district leadership. From there, Rylee and Travis collaborated with architects, construction teams, and school staff to bring their vision to life. Along the way, they made key decisions, including how to manage the project within budget — all of which became part of their DECA project, ultimately winning them the State Title!

Support from Mr. McMullen’s classes added even more creativity to the venture, with students producing custom signs and coasters. Special recognition goes to Marisa Lamb for designing the logo featured on the coasters.

This past Tuesday, we celebrated the grand opening of The Stable, and it was a resounding success. Congratulations to Rylee, Travis, Tyler Thompson, the CTE Programs, and everyone who contributed to making this dream a reality. Thanks to your hard work and vision, The Stable is sure to become a cherished part of our high school community for years to come.

Traver Talk Traver Talk

With our seniors officially out of the building, the halls feel a bit more open - giving our 9th-11th graders even more space and support to focus on their goals! As we approach the end of this marking period, many students are facing important deadlines, final projects, and their last unit assessments before the big final exams in June.

zoom_out_map

Please take a moment to review the data on missing assignments by grade level for this marking period. Use this information to work with your student and identify any assignments they can still complete to improve their standing.

Also, a reminder about our attendance policy during exam season:

  • Students with 10 or more absences (both unexcused UX and parent-excused EX count) must earn at least a 78% on their final exam to pass the course.
  • Only medical absences with proper documentation (M) and approved field trips (FT) do not count toward this total.
  • Appeals for extenuating circumstances will be available and communicated out next week.

Let’s support our students to finish strong and make the most of this final stretch!
