Dear Lemon Crest Families,
Back to School Night & Family Involvement
We had a fantastic Back to School Night for families of 1st–5th graders! If you weren’t able to attend, your child’s teacher has shared—or will soon share—their slides through ClassDojo. If you’re not yet connected on ClassDojo, please reach out to your child’s teacher, as this is an important way we communicate with families.
We need families to join our School Site Council (SSC)! This committee of parents and teachers meets once a month after school for most months of the year. The SSC helps review and approve our SPSA, and most importantly, shares your valuable input on how we can continue making Lemon Crest an even better place for students and families. You can email our School Secretary, Mrs. Whitehurst, at bwhitehurst@lsusd.net to let her know that you're interested and we'll share info with you!
At Lemon Crest, we are working hard to build a positive school culture where everyone feels included and a true sense of belonging. We are also looking to grow our enrollment over the next few years, so if you have ideas for beautifying our campus, bringing in new resources or clubs, or volunteering to support students, during school or after, we would love to hear your suggestions!
