Jaguar Tracks

October 16th

Jaguar TracksOctober 16th

Dear Jaguar Families,

We had a great week at JE, even if it was a short one! Our Jaguars jumped right back in and picked up where we left off, wrapping up their reading assessments and doing a wonderful job getting back into the swing of things.

Next week will be another exciting one! We’ll welcome the high school students as they come in to give us a preview of their production of SpongeBob, and on Wednesday, we’ll have an opportunity to show off the strengths of our school at a community event. Then, we’ll wrap up the week with our favorite tradition: the famous Halloween Howl and Trunk or Treat on Friday! There is always something wonderful happening at JE!

As we move through the year, I want to take a moment to share how grateful we are for all of you and the care you bring to our community. Whether you’re showing up to volunteer, coming in as a Mystery Reader, planning an event, supporting our PTO, or reaching out to share a question or concern, we appreciate it all. Every one of these contributions helps make JE the special place it is.

It truly takes all of us working together to make our school community so strong, and we are so lucky to have families who care so deeply about our Jaguars. Thank you for being part of this journey with us!

Have a wonderful weekend, and we’ll see you next week for all the fun ahead!

METCO unites suburban towns with Boston to engage in a reciprocal learning partnership in support of all students. Because of this, every child who attends school in Reading Public Schools is a METCO student and every parent or guardian who has a student in RPS is a part of the METCO community.

"Since its founding during the peak of the Civil Rights Movement, the METCO program has enrolled tens of thousands of Boston students of color in predominately white school districts, creating the opportunity for those districts to experience the advantages of learning and working in a racially and ethnically diverse setting."
