CPC Update

Don't forget the new lunch coverage rotation for the walk-in advisor (Vera will be the only designated walk-in advisor) beginning next week (welcome back, Vera!). Each Rockwell Advisor will have a day to cover Vera's lunch (or the entire day in the event Vera is out all day). The schedule is as follows:

• Monday - Marsha
• Tuesday – Renee
• Wednesday – Lauren
• Thursday - Megan
• Friday – Genia/Holly

The Advisors should work together and communicate internally if they are out on their assigned day of backup coverage.

Thank you so much for the wonderful send off yesterday. The video was fabulous (and I would expect nothing less from this group!). Thank you so much for the Athleta gift card too (I've never been there!!). You all are too generous, and it truly was not necessary.

You made this such a wonderful working experience over the past several years. You are an incredible group of people to work with! My hope is that you are as welcoming (if not more) for Toby and that you take care of business every day, just as you always have, to show him how great this department is! Be sure to text ANY time if you have a question or can't remember how something works - I'm happy to assist!

• It is permissible for employees to enter absence requests for July in preparation for dates that will be taken off in the new fiscal year, unless you have exhausted your leave for FY25. If that is the case, you will be unable to post July leave until rollover occurs at which time your supervisor will need to enter the leave on your behalf.
• Employees should not enter leave for 8/1/2025 forward until notified that leave rollover has been completed

Please wait to start on this year’s GCN modules, as we will hear later this month from the SDE what the requirements will be. Hang tight until you hear that the portal is open for you to complete your GCNs for 25-26.

Please refer to the email from Alec Cain from 7/2 regarding the annual fire inspection next week. While they are doing their best to only test systems outside the hours of 8am - 4pm, some alarms may go off during the day. Be ready!

Toby Blair, Director Career Planning Center, Start date: 07/17

Toby Blair is a dedicated educator with 18 years of experience, beginning his career teaching social studies and math. His leadership journey includes serving as Assistant Principal at Norman’s Longfellow Middle School and Mustang High School, where he also held the role of Freshman Academy Principal, as well as opening the new Mustang Central Middle School as its head principal. Most recently, at Oklahoma City Public Schools, Toby has led initiatives centered around college and career readiness, serving as both Executive Director of College and Career Planning and a Principal Supervisor. In these roles, he focused on building structures to empower students in their college, career, and workforce planning. Toby holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. His wife of 20 years, Sarah Blair, is a fellow educator, and together they have two children, Landry and Henry.
