Monitor Blood Pressure: Check your blood pressure regularly and work with your healthcare provider to manage it within a healthy range.
Control Cholesterol: Maintain healthy cholesterol levels by following a heart-healthy diet and, if necessary, taking prescribed medications.
Maintain a Healthy Weight: Achieve and maintain a healthy weight through a combination of balanced eating and regular physical activity.
Limit Alcohol Consumption: If you drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Excessive alcohol consumption can contribute to heart problems.

The project included brainstorming, making a rough draft, editing, locating a visual, and presenting in class. The students came up with a wide variety of ideas including; how to make Ramen noodles, cookies and S'mores. The "How To Speech" could also share how to do a physical activity.
Middle School Social Studies Project
Middle school social studies students were assigned to construct a tomb. The students had to research and prepare to publicly share information with others about their tomb. Ms. Houser stated, "I like to incorporate projects into classroom learning because students have a variety of talents. For example, some like the researching and background information while others like the art and creativity of projects."
