Principal's Corner
Tutoring is going well! Your child's teacher should have reached out to you if your child is going to stay for tutoring. We will do dismissal the same as regular dismissal- only 1 line. ALL PARENTS WILL PULL THROUGH THE ORANGE TAG LINE! Please have your dismissal cards ready. We will dismiss promptly at 4:20. We need all students picked up by 4:30!
If you do not have a pick up card, please communicate with your child's teacher. This is CRITICAL!

DISMISSAL ANNOUNCEMENT! PLEASE READ!
Parents:
It is essential for you to pick your child(ren) up on time. We understand that there are times that things happen but picking up beyond 4:00 is not acceptable. Our staff has meetings as well as other family obligations to attend following the work day. When you are late, it holds everyone up from doing what they need to do. Please be mindful of this.
Dismissal will begin at 3:30 for the duration of the school year! Thank you for being patient as students learn the routines and procedures! Our goal everyday is a 3:45 end time for dismissal!
Please make sure that you are staying in your car and going through the car rider pickup. We need to keep the front clear for special situations, buses and daycare. Please review the following guidelines:
1) student transportation changes are accepted up to 2:00. If you have changes, the office AND teacher must be notified.
2) you MUST have your ID to pick up any child. Even if you have been to the school before. You will be required to have an ID to pick up a child from the office.
3) you MUST have a car tag to go through the car line. If you do not, you will proceed to the front office and get a new card. You will be required to wait until 3:50/3:55 when dismissal has ended to get your child.
4) no students will be called to the office during dismissal. You will have to wait for late pickup.
5). no students will be dismissed after 3:00 PM. If you are not at the school before 3 PM, you will be required to proceed through the dismissal line.
6) Please stay in your dismissal "Color" line (orange or green). Even if a child is absent, you stay in the same color lane.
We also want to continue to remind you of the importance of your child being at school everyday! For the month of September, students that have perfect attendance will be put in a drawing for FREE gift cards or even a tablet! We will also do dress up days through the month of September!

Enhancing Our Learning Environment: A Breath of Fresh Air
In Liberty Grove, the well-being of our students and staff is one of our top priorities. Recognizing the vital role a healthy environment plays in our daily lives, especially the air we breathe, Garland ISD has partnered with Protect|ED to significantly improve the air quality within our campus as a pilot program. Together, we are committed to enhancing the indoor air quality across the district.
This collaboration is not just about improving air standards; it's about fostering a healthier, more vibrant learning environment. Research over the years has consistently highlighted a concerning fact: the air inside educational facilities can be up to five times more polluted than outdoor air.
The introduction of Protect|ED's air purification units is a testament to our commitment to improving the health and wellness of our employees and students.
These units, which you will notice around our campuses, represent the latest air purification technology. They are designed to kill viruses in the air, thus reducing the spread of illness. Unlike other air purifiers, they don't use the traditional filter, meaning there is no monthly recurring cost. It has minimal maintenance requirements, and our custodial team is already tending to the units. The best part is this device is extremely quiet and will not disrupt the learning environment.
We believe this initiative will support the health and well-being of our students and employees and enhance attendance rates. By creating a healthier environment, we're also paving the way for greater academic achievement and bolstering our commitment to the success and retention of our valued staff.
Class Dojo
Class Dojo is essential. It is the one-stop-shop to stay current with what is going on in your child's classroom and at Liberty Grove! Please be on the lookout for the invite from your child's teacher. Thanks for all that you do!
