IMPORTANT REMINDERS
📢 Attendance Matters, Mountain Lion Families! 🦁
We need your help in ensuring that our students are in school every day! Last week, our campus attendance rate was 90%, but our goal is 95% or higher.
Every day of learning is important — when students miss school, they miss valuable instruction, practice, and connection time that can’t be replaced. Attendance also impacts our campus funding, which directly supports classroom resources, programs, and staff that benefit all students.
Please help us by making daily attendance a priority. Together, we can reach our goal and keep our Mountain Lions learning, growing, and thriving every day! 💛
🎄 Holiday Attendance Incentive! ✨
💙Volunteers Needed 💙
We’re looking for caring and enthusiastic parents who would like to support our school!
Volunteers can help with family events, classroom projects, and special activities.
If you’re interested in joining our volunteer team, please contact:
📧 Ms. Gomez — amgomez32@episd.org
I’ll share more information and guide you through the volunteer form required by the district.
Lunch Snacks 🍽️🍏
In our ongoing effort to promote healthier eating habits, we kindly ask that you limit unhealthy snack choices in your child's lunch. Specifically, family-sized chip bags and similar snacks will not be allowed. 🚫
Research shows that a nutritious diet plays a vital role in children's overall health, well-being, and academic performance. Unhealthy snacks can lead to issues such as decreased focus, energy levels, and long-term health risks. 📉 By providing healthier options, we can support our students in achieving their best both in and out of the classroom. 📚✨
We encourage you to opt for health-smart snack choices like fresh fruits 🍎, vegetables 🥕, yogurt, or whole-grain options.
Homework Folders and Student Planners
Please check your child’s homework folder/bag daily 📁 and ensure that assignments are completed before the next day ✅. Homework reinforces classroom learning 🧠, builds responsibility 🎯, and helps develop essential skills for academic success 🌟. Students now have student planners to help them keep track of their assignments 📅. Your support is key to your child’s progress 💪.
Uniforms
All students are required to wear uniforms daily.
- Tops (including hoodies/sweaters): White, navy, or maroon polos; white, navy, or maroon sweaters/hoodies (no graphics or wording).
- Bottoms: Navy, maroon, or khaki pants, shorts, or skirts.
