Dear families,
This week was an exciting one starting with St. Patrick's Day fun. Some of our 5th grade students then shared at the MVCSD Board meeting about their Physics Lab visit. They did such a great job of demonstrating all that they learned about sound waves. Then, on Tuesday night, our Battle of the Books team led by Captain Maddy Kelling with such composure and collaboration, brought home the WIN! We are so proud of how hard they worked throughout the year reading from a list of 70 books and memorizing the titles and authors with the help from Mrs. Stetler and Mrs. Eilbacher.
On Wednesday, our Seminar students traveled to Earthworks for a field trip. Students that received their 50 PBIS points, with no major discipline referrals, were rewarded with a special assembly from Mobile Ed, "The Magic of Science".
We are so grateful that our students get to experience so much due to the community support they receive. At the Board Meeting on Monday, I had the pleasure of sharing all the collaborations we have with Kenyon and how it benefits our students.

Continuing Open Enrollment is for students who are currently Open Enrolled to Mount Vernon School District and desire to continue open enrollment with the District for the 2025-2026 school year.
- Complete your application through the Parent Portal on the District website.
- Instructions for Continuing Open Enrollment are located on the Parent Resources Page.
- Continuing Open Enrolled opens March 1, students will have until April 10 to complete this process.
If your address has changed since your last application, please update your child's emergency medical form in the Parent Portal on the District website and you will also need to provide proof of residency.

Students grades 3-5 will be taking the Ohio State Tests mid to end of April. Detailed dates will come out next week. Please make sure that all appointments are scheduled around these dates as it is difficult to get all makeups done with lots of absences.
