Dear Families,

๐Ÿ‘ป Halloween Safety: Have a Fang-tastic & Safe Time!

As Halloween approaches, we want all of our scholars and families to enjoy a fun and safe celebration! Whether trick-or-treating or celebrating at home, keep these quick safety tips in mind:

  • ๐Ÿ”ฆ Stay Bright & Visible: Wear reflective trick-or-treat bags, reflective tape on costumes, or carry flashlights/glowsticks so drivers can easily see you.

  • ๐Ÿšฆ Stick Together & Use Crosswalks: Walk in groups, stay on sidewalks, and cross roads at designated crosswalks.

  • ๐Ÿฌ Inspect the Treats: An adult should inspect all candy and goodies before eatingโ€”save the snacking until you get home!

  • ๐ŸŽญ Clear Vision: Ensure masks don't block peripheral vision or replace them with face paint for extra safety.

๐Ÿฆ‡ Attendance Corner: Don't Let Absences Haunt Your Year!

Our school-wide goal is for every student to maintain at least 90% attendance throughout the school year. Consistent attendance builds strong learning habits, keeps students connected with peers, and leads to academic success!

๐Ÿ“Š The Attendance Math (180-Day School Year):

  • Goal: Attend at least 162 days out of 180.

  • Threshold: Missing 19 days or more (more than 18 absences) drops a student below 90% attendance, putting them at risk of chronic absenteeism.

Every single school day counts toward building a bright futureโ€”let's keep our attendance high and ghosts of absenteeism away!

Why Stay IB Strong? ๐ŸŒŸ

Staying in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program through high school equips students with essential lifelong skills. IB scholars become independent critical thinkers, effective communicators, and culturally conscious global leaders. Sticking with IB opens doors to top university admissions, potential college credit, and instills a mindset that prepares students to conquer complex, real-world challenges with confidence.
