Common Misconceptions about Attendance

  1. Absences are only a problem if they are unexcused.
  2. Missing 2 days per month doesn't affect learning.
  3. Assume students must stay home for any symptom of illness.
  4. Attendance only matters in the older grades.
  5. Suspensions don't count as absence.
