TikTok Trend Sparking Concern
Please be aware that there is a potentially hazardous TikTok trend where students are inserting items– paperclips or even just pencil tips— into the charging ports of their chromebooks and causing them to smoke and even start on fire. Please support our efforts to be responsible, respectful, and safe by talking to your students about this alarming trend. Any chromebooks with this type of damage will result in disciplinary action and may require parents to pay a full replacement cost of the chromebook at $300.
LRC Books Due!!
All books are due to the LRC by Friday, May 16. Any books not returned by this date are considered lost and are assessed the full replacement value per district policy. Please help your student locate any of their library books and remind them of this return date. Reach out to Mrs. Contreras if you feel there is an error on your student’s LRC account. Thank you for returning materials to keep our book collection complete!

Parents of Incoming D207 Students
Parents of Incoming District 207 Students,
All incoming District 207 9th graders need a physical exam completed before entering school. You can have this done with your regular Primary Care Provider, or we have available appointments at the School Based Health Center inside both Maine East High School and Maine West High School. This is available to all students enrolling at any District 207 school.
The Physical Exam costs $35 (cash or check) for most students. If you have medicaid insurance the physical will be billed to Medicaid and you will not pay the $35 fee. This includes a school and sports physical.
We are typically very busy in August, so I encourage you to make this appointment early if you think you will need our services. Please do not wait until August.
You can make an appointment by following this link: https://linktr.ee/d207sbhc
If you have any questions, please contact us at:
sbhc@maine207.org or call 847-825-4059.

Emerson Green Team News
It’s time to sort out school supplies! The Emerson Green Team would like to encourage all families to help students sort through their school supplies by:
- Reusing as many of their school supplies as possible for the next school year.
- Donating any gently used school supplies like notebooks, folders, writing & drawing utensils, rulers, pencil cases, etc. Emerson School will have donation boxes in each classroom the week of May 19th through May 23rd. We will be donating items to area schools in need, the Crayon Initiative, or bring items to Scarce, an organization that works to reduce waste and give back to students everywhere.
- Recycling all paper products (notebooks/folders). Just make sure to remove any metal parts.
Thank you for helping make the world a greener place!
