Hello Mountain Shadows Community,
What a fun and productive week! Our students did an outstanding job today during our first lockdown drill of the year. We also loved seeing the school filled with color for our first Color Wars day as we continue to "Glow Into Leadership."
As we look ahead:
September is Attendance Awareness Month: Every day counts for our learners! Let's work together to make September's attendance even stronger than August's.
Pizza Night is Tonight! Skip cooking and join us at Peter Piper Pizza (Arrowhead location) from 4:00–8:00 PM. Your participation directly benefits our PTSA.
Fingers crossed for cooler temperatures next week so we can head back out for outdoor recess.
Together, we HOWL: building Honorable, Observant, and Willing Leaders every single day. Enjoy your weekend!

Bruster’s on 51 st Ave and Bell Rd with a sweet treat served up by our very
own celebrity scoopers Mrs. Murray, Mrs. Teran, Mrs. Sparks, and Ms.
Horn!

Pre-Order your Spirit Shirts!
Our 26-27 spirit shirts are now ready for pre-order starting this Monday! Parents can purchase them online here You will need your student's ID number and the spelling of their last as listed in PowerSchool. Once that information is entered, click on Clubs and Activities, and last click on Spirit Wear.
Shirts are $18 each, $20 for XX and XXX. Payments can also be made in the front office.
The last day to pre-order is September 4th.

Picture day is coming September 8th! All students will be pictured as this photo goes into our yearbook. You can order online here and use the code: MountainShadowsFall2026. Retakes will be on 10/20/2026. Get those smiles ready!
