Free and Reduced Lunch Applications

Each year, a student must apply for free or reduced lunches. If you have applied in the past, you must reapply. Please visit the Child Nutrition website to apply for the year. Current students with free or reduced lunch accounts who do not reapply will expire in September, 2025.

Schedule Changes

Students should have already submitted their schedule change requests and communicated with their counselor. Schedule change requests to adjust levels in core courses may still be considered on a case-by-case basis; however, elective change requests are now closed.

Woodlands Wednesdays

Every Wednesday during Advisory, your student will have the opportunity to watch a video from the Counseling Department that focuses on a specific topic. Some videos will discuss credit and course options, and others will pertain to monthly awareness events. If your student is absent or is unable to watch during the advisory period, the video can be viewed on our TWHS Video Archive website, posted on the TWHS Website and here: https://sites.google.com/conroeisd.net/twhs-video-archives/home.

Catch It All in the Fall

Additionally, in the TWHS Video Archives, our “Catch It All in the Fall” video webpage will go live on September 17. “Catch It All in the Fall” is an event that allows parents to successfully navigate high school requirements with their students. This year, “Catch It All in the Fall” will be held virtually. You will be able to select instructional videos about various topics that pertain to you. This event will be posted on the TWHS Website and here: https://sites.google.com/conroeisd.net/twhs-video-archives/home. Here is the flyer: https://www.canva.com/design/DAGxf7RnvOE/ix9zwnS3hPcSL7d4klu8-Q/view?utm_content=DAGxf7RnvOE&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=uniquelinks&utlId=hcc6c97d638

Tutor List

We know there are many options for tutors in our community. However, we strongly encourage your student to build a relationship with their teacher and seek their guidance when they need assistance or clarification. Our teachers are readily available before or after school for tutoring. In many cases, students also utilize peer tutoring through many of our service organizations. In addition, evening tutorials are available at the Senior Campus. Our staff is always here to help answer questions and address concerns. We also provide a list of tutors, some current or former teachers, on our website. You can also find it here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1s-LtJ3--mV1KL8CV9OlvKXZKw0sWq3_qau_id5WjWxw/edit?usp=sharing

Transcripts in Student Access Center

10th-12th grade students can now access their transcripts and GPA/Rank in Student Access Center through their SSO. The transcript and GPA/Rank is a reflection of coursework up to Spring, 2025. Please note that the Rank/GPA has not been verified, and verification and updates do not happen until mid-October for all, seniors are a bit earlier than this timeframe.

FINE ARTS FINE ARTS

THE WOODLANDS HIGH SCHOOL ART TRUST

Submissions for 2025 are now OPEN! Please pass this on to Texas Artists!

Have you ever noticed the 71 works of art by established Texas artists that are permanently displayed in the hallways at school? This is The Woodlands High School Art Trust Collection and we are celebrating our 15th year! This collection of art works has been selected and purchased by our students over the past 14 years. Each year we add new works to the collection and our next selection process has begun. Submissions will be accepted until October 5th for consideration into our collection for 2025. We invite established Texas artists who have had work accepted into a juried show and are at least 22 years old to submit works to be considered for acquisition in 2025. If you know an established Texas Artist that might be interested, please pass this information to learn more. https://twhsat.weebly.com/2025-submissions.html

In mid-October, our student committee will narrow down the works submitted to 12-15 artworks that will be voted on by the entire student body in mid-November. Posters of the artworks will be on view at school in November and the original pieces will be displayed in the cafeteria just prior to voting. The students will purchase as many as possible of the pieces that receive the most votes on November 13.

The artworks are purchased through funds set aside by Student Council from the Homecoming Dance, however, the framing, lighting and conservation of these pieces need funding. Consider helping with that funding and show your support for The Woodlands High School Art Trust by joining our "One Hundred Friends of Art." Our goal is to have 100 arts supporters make an annual donation to support our cause. Donations are tax deductible and start as low as $10!! Visit our website to make a contribution: https://twhsat.weebly.com/

The Woodlands High School Art Trust (TWHSAT) a 501(c)3 organization, was established in 2011 to help maintain, conserve and display the student-selected, student-purchased collection of established artists at The Woodlands High School. The vision for the TWHS Art Trust is to see the art collection grow each year and to have it extend through the hallways of the high school. We also offer FREE tours of our collection to schools and other groups by appointment.

Other than the public sculptures around The Woodlands, this is the ONLY permanent collection of art available to the public. It is seen by THOUSANDS of people every day. Please consider supporting this unique collection that sets us apart from other public high schools and strengthens our goal of being one of the best high schools in the state and country.

For more information on The Woodlands High School Art Trust please visit our website: https://twhsat.weebly.com/ or contact Susan Cosculluela at twhsat@gmail.com.
