Please join us in the Raymond Moore Auditorium (RMA) for our first concert of the year! We will be featuring a mix of music from movies and classical gems! The Wind Ensemble will join forces with us on our final piece!

• The concert starts at 7:30 PM and is free and open to the public
• Orchestra student call time on 11/4 is 6:30 PM
• Students should wear their orchestra tuxedo/gown (see uniform reminder below for more details!)

Each semester, Honors students prepare a solo for our honors recital. Please join us online or in person to celebrate their hard work and musical progress! This semester's recital will be held in the RMA.

Congratulations to Nathan Chiu who will represent us at ILMEA this year! As the most competitive district in our state, this is a great honor and a testament to these students' hard work and dedication. Nathan, along with the other students selected, will participate in full day festivals with other top high school musicians in our area culminating in performances. Orchestra is November 7 at New Trier High School.

All music students have either a tuxedo or gown for our formal concerts (first is Nov. 4). These are supplied by the school.

• Students should bring home their uniform right away and hang it in their closet!
• Gowns or pants that require hemming will be professionally altered and returned to students prior to the November concert.
• Tuxedos are worn with a white tuxedo shirt, black bow tie and cummerbund. Returning students should still have these from last year! New students have been given a tux shirt, bow tie and cummerbund.
• Gowns and tuxedo shirts may be laundered at home as needed.
• Tuxedo pants and jackets may be dry cleaned as needed.
• Please don’t hem or alter uniforms yourself; we’ll handle all alterations.
• Tuxedos and Gowns are to be worn with black dress shoes and black dress socks or tights. These are NOT supplied by the school so please be sure to shop for them now if needed!

Applause is the parent booster organization for the band, orchestra, and choir programs at LFHS. We promote student recognition, awards, and scholarships; coordinate the annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser; provide dinners and post-concert treats; support BOC trips and activities; and much more!
