MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL BANKS
Greetings Lindblom MSA Eagles,
Thank you to the students, families, community partners, and alumni who participated in our fireside chat with representatives from the University of Illinois System. We are honored to be the first high school stop on this year’s University of Illinois System Listening Tour and featured in the Chicago Tribune.
The Listening Tour reflects an important question we ask ourselves at Lindblom: How do we continue to get better at supporting our students and one another? The University of Illinois System is listening to students and communities to strengthen the value and support it provides. Our students asked thoughtful questions about belonging, internships, externships, and opportunities to make an impact. Their questions reflected what they value about Lindblom and their expectation that their postsecondary experiences will continue preparing them to thrive and excel.
That spirit of listening, learning, and improving also shows up in the ways our Eagles engage beyond our campus. Through partnerships with Earl STEM Elementary School, Randolph Elementary School, Imagine Englewood If, the 16th Ward Alderman’s Office, Residents of Greater Englewood (R.A.G.E.), and others, our students continue making an impact in our community.
Our fall Pep Rally was as energetic and lively as ever as we celebrated students involved in sports, clubs, dance, choir, and drum line. Pep Rally Takeover Ambassadors Kailyn Brown & Marianna Haynes were recognized for their leadership in coordinating and hosting the Tip Fest this summer through their PRTO internship. Shout out to AD Vic, AP Morales, our coaches, sponsors, and parent volunteers for a great event!
Together, we strive for excellence,
Principal Banks
