Why Your Support Matters
DEF is on track to award $50,000 in innovative learning grants to our deserving educators this year, and YOU are a vital part of making that happen. Last school year, DEF awarded only 65% of requested grant funds, but the need continues to grow. Our goal is to raise $75,000 to ensure we can continue inspiring educators across our district for years to come.
Together let’s Elevate Education for all our DCS students - Thank you!
PERC EVENT: SCREENAGERS
PERC (Parents and Educators Raising our Community) will be hosting a viewing of "SCREENAGERS" - February 19th and 26th at 7pm at the Emerald Campus. The film is designed for students, parents, and educators to support informed and healthy navigation of the digital age.
For more information and to RSVP, visit this link.
Screenagers is an award-winning documentary that explores the latest research, expert insights, and practical guidance on today’s digital challenges facing youth. Topics include early exposure to online content, social media pressures, device distractions in the classroom, moderating video game use and behavior, and the growing issue of sleep deprivation among young people.
One screening is tailored for elementary-aged families, while the other is better suited for middle and high school families. Students are welcome to attend both.

There is additional information on the background check process below, and please contact Mrs. Guthrie in the front office if you have any questions!
VOLUNTEER BACKGROUND CHECK
REMINDER: ALL parent/family members that wish to volunteer for the 2025-2026 school year will need to have a completed background check on file with the district. This will apply to classroom volunteers, PTO events, field trips and any other school event. This online process is quick, secure and free for applicants. Click button below to complete the process!
PLEASE NOTE: If any family member, other than a parent, is applying to volunteer please inform Carol Guthrie at guthrie_carol@dublinschools.net to ensure a timely approval!
CURRENT VOLUNTEERS: Be sure to double check the expiration date on your volunteer card. You cannot "renew" your card and instead must complete the background check process again before it expires. Thank you for attending to this well in advance of your volunteering date.
