Principal's Corner
Hello Wiggs Families,
As we approach the end of the year, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful community we have built together. This December, we celebrate not only the joys of the season but also the many accomplishments and connections we've made as a school family.
The support, dedication, and kindness of our students, staff, and families have made this year truly special. Whether through academic achievements, acts of kindness, or collaborative efforts in and out of the classroom, you’ve all contributed to making this a vibrant and caring school community.
As we enjoy this festive time, we hope that you find peace, joy, and time to recharge with loved ones. May the holiday season bring warmth to your hearts, and may the new year ahead be filled with health, happiness, and new opportunities.
Thank you for your continued partnership. We look forward to all that we will achieve together in the coming months.

Parenting with Service
There are a few ways to think about service. Some people think about service as an event or "week of
service" they might do with another organization; for example, serving at the soup kitchen or engaging in a week-long service project in the community. These ways of helping others are great and usually give our kids an opportunity to serve someone other than themselves. However, there are other ways to serve, even at home. For example, service might look like picking up extra responsibilities around the house on a week when a parent is sick, or maybe sitting and talking a bit longer with a grandparent who is grieving. These acts of lending a hand to help someone else might take smaller investments of time, but may also provide great assistance to the person in need.
This month is a busy time for schools and families, so it might be helpful for you to make a plan for how you might lend a hand now and in the future. Because we can get caught up with other things and let time fly by, it is important to be intentional about looking for ways to serve.
Questions to consider:
• What are the big and small ways that you serve your family? How about your co-workers? Or in your community?
• How do you talk about your role in this service to others in your family, or workplace or community? Are you joyful and grateful? Or stressed and complaining?
• What is your philosophy of service? In other words, what conversations have you had about this intentionally with and around your child?
Questions to ask your child:
- When was the last time you saw someone lend a hand to help someone else? What happened?
- How do you feel when you help someone? Why do you think that is?
- Has someone lent you a hand? Tell us about it.
