Letter to our SMMS families
As the new Athletic Director, I want to ensure a positive and supportive environment for our athletes. If there are any concerns or situations that arise during sports events or practices, I encourage you to bring them directly to me. I am here to handle and address all matters related to athletics or anything that impacts our athletes. Your feedback and input are invaluable, and I am committed to resolving issues promptly and effectively. Rest assured that if there's a situation beyond my scope, I will escalate it to the administration for further attention. Together, let's work towards fostering a thriving and fulfilling athletic experience for our young athletes.
Thank you for understanding.
BASKETBALL TRYOUTS
We will have two teams for both boys and girls: an A Team and a B Team. It is important that all athletes attend all three days of tryouts so our coaches can complete a full evaluation.
On the third day, athletes will receive a letter informing them whether they have made the A Team, B Team, or have not been selected. The letter will also include additional information regarding the season.
Important Requirements:
* Physicals: Athletes must have a physical on file before participating in tryouts.
* Registration Fees: Once teams are finalized, registration will open. Athletes must have their registration fee paid to receive a jersey and participate in games. Athletes with unpaid registration fees will not be allowed to play until payment is completed.
* Outstanding Balances: Athletes with outstanding tuition balances or previous athletic fees must have those balances resolved before receiving a uniform.
Thank you for your support and cooperation. We wish all our athletes the best of luck at tryouts!
