A Few Words From the Principal

Thank you to all of you for working with us as we continue to make adjustments to the traffic flow during this construction time. Our students have done an amazing job of using the designated routes and the cross-walks. Parents, thank you for adjusting to the car loop in the front of the school. We should not have any students being dropped off or picked up in the back of the school unless they are on the bus. We will continue to be out during pick-up and drop-off and make adjustments if needed.

Thank you!

Monticello Road is now closed in front of Mill Valley, with repairs expected to last through October. MT is ONLY accessible from the South.

The front of the school is for drop off/pick-up for car riders (car loop) and the back of the school is for buses. The traffic flow in the front of the school during pick up and drop off times will be one way traveling from north to south. The map below provides more information.

Thank you for being patient and flexible this week as we made adjustments to drop off and pick changes. See the city's website for more information.

Student Fees Due Upon Receipt

School fees were posted in to parent Skyward accounts in August and are available to pay several different ways - either in-person with cash or check or online through e-Funds (step-by-step guide is attached). If you would like to discuss fees or set up a payment plan, please contact the office and we'll be happy to work with you. Thank you for supporting our school and your student's learning!

All student athletes are required to pay the Catastrophic Insurance fee of $7.63 as part of their student fees. This fee is required by the district regardless of personal health insurance coverage. If you have not already done so, please make sure this fee has been paid ASAP so that your student's ability to compete is not affected.

Life & Leadership Inspirational Mail

A recent Life & Leadership assignment had students writing a letter to an inspirational figure in their life and actually mailing it. Layla B. wrote Olympian sand volleyball athlete Taryn Kloth. Taryn not only wrote back an amazing handwritten inspirational letter, giving Layla advice, but also gave her a signed jersey that she wore in one of her competitions.

Illness

Please report any symptoms of illness to the school. Please be specific - report symptoms such as sore throat, nausea, fever instead of reporting β€œill” or β€œsick.” Giving symptoms helps with Health Department Reporting and to see illness trends in the district.

Remember students are to be fever and/or symptom free 24 hours before returning after an illness: https://www.usd232.org/departments/health-services/policies-screenings
