Bike, Scooter, E-bike & E-Scooter Safety Reminder
Parents and guardians, if your student rides a bike, scooter, e-bike, or e-scooter to school, please remind them that all students must get off and walk their bikes or scooters once they arrive on school campus. This is an important safety expectation to help prevent accidents and injuries, especially during busy arrival and dismissal times.
Student safety is our top priority! Thank you for helping us keep our school campus safe for everyone!
Parking Lot Safety
Student drop off: Please use ONLY the inside lane, closest to the building, to drop off your student. The outside lane is for parents to drive through only - no stopping.

Attendance
We have officially completed 34 days of school! As we continue through the school year, we want to remind families of the importance of regular school attendance. Every day at school is an opportunity for students to learn, grow, and succeed!
A few important attendance reminders:
Every day counts! Missing just 3 days of school at this point in the year means a student has missed more than 10% of the school year, which is considered chronic absenteeism.
Please notify the school when your student is absent. Call the Kelloggsville Middle School office at 616-532-1575 to report your student's absence and provide the reason.
Communication is key! If your family is experiencing challenges that make regular attendance difficult, please reach out. We are here to help!
Parent/Guardian Contact Information
Please make sure your contact information in Synergy is accurate and up to date. We have several students whose families have outdated phone numbers or missing email addresses. Having accurate contact information is extremely important, especially in the event of an emergency when we need to reach you quickly. Please take a few minutes to review your information and make any necessary updates.
We also encourage all families to download the ParentVUE app! ParentVUE is a great way to stay informed and involved in your student's education. Through the app, parents and guardians can easily access important student information, including grades, attendance, discipline records, and more.
What is Happening in the Counseling Office?🧠
Parents: October 16 is the end of the first quarter. The school counselors will be doing a lesson with all students in their math classes about grades and credits. Please support your student by regularly checking grades in ParentVue and encouraging your student to do his/her best when it comes to grades and schoolwork. It's also helpful to look for missing assignments and encourage your student to turn those in promptly as that can help their grades improve! If you have questions about your student's grades, feel free to contact the school counselor: Emily Hewett, ehewett@kvilleps.org or Laura Kuperus, lkuperus@kvilleps.org
