Dear Cleveland Families,
What a great week at Cleveland! Our classrooms have been filled with teaching, learning, and opportunities for students to grow. We are so proud of the hard work happening throughout our building and appreciate the continued partnership of our families.
We had an AMAZING time capsule opening celebration! It was wonderful to reconnect with Cleveland's history, take a trip down memory lane, and reunite with friends. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event so special!
We are excited to keep this tradition alive! Upon opening the time capsule, we learned that this was not the first one. The original time capsule was created in 1976 with the opening date in 2001. Knowing this makes us really excited to keep the tradition going. We will be creating another time capsule this school year so that future generations of Cleveland students can experience the same excitement and connection to our school's history.
On Tuesday, we will celebrate our very first Eagle of the Month Assembly of the school year! We look forward to recognizing students who demonstrate the character traits that help make Cleveland a special place to learn and grow.
Our October character trait was RESPECT, showing high regard for all. We have been learning about the importance of showing respect for ourselves, others, our school, and our community. As we move into November, our traits are COLLABORATOR & COMMUNICATOR, listening, sharing, and caring about others' thoughts and opinions. We want our students to continue building the skills to work together, share ideas, listen to others, and communicate effectively.
As a reminder, students do not have school on Tuesday.
Thank you for being an important part of our Cleveland community. Together, we continue to make a positive impact on our students every day.
~Dr. Owens
