GIFTS FOR KIDS APPLICATIONS
October 2024
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Watertown Family Aid works each year to distribute Christmas gifts to children from birth through fifth grade whose families are struggling financially. This program is intended to be only for families residing in the Watertown Unified School District boundaries who are in need of some assistance.
We require all families to show up at an assigned appointment time to pick up their gifts at a Watertown location. We are hoping to get enough donations so that we can give each child a gift worth an approximate value of $25.
IF you meet the financial qualification guidelines below and are in need of some assistance this holiday season, please complete the online application. You can access it at the following link: https://forms.gle/cjESBXQ6K7SXe6FB9
If you choose to apply, please mark Saturday, November 23rd on your calendar. The gift pick-up will be held on that day only. No gifts will be distributed after this date. Watch for an assignment letter to come in the mail in early to mid-November. The letter will list your assigned pick-up time as well as details about where the distribution will be held.
Remember, all applications must be received no later than Friday, October 31st at 3:00 p.m. Any applications received after that date will not be processed.
If you have any questions, please call Chris Weddig at (920) 262-1490.
Sincerely,
Watertown Family Aid Board

FIRE PREVENTION WEEK OCTOBER 6-12, 2024
SMOKE ALARMS: MAKE THEM WORK FOR YOU!
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has announced this year's theme for Fire Prevention Week October 6-12: "Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!™" The goal of this year's campaign strives to educate everyone about the importance of having working smoke alarms in the home.
According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), smoke alarms reduce the risk of dying in a home fire by more than half (54 percent). Meanwhile, roughly three out of five fire deaths happen in homes with either no smoke alarms or no working smoke alarms.
