Sources of Strength
It is with great pleasure that we introduce you to our newest club at Rutland Middle School. We are Sources of Strength. Sources of Strength is an evidence-based program that empowers young people to prevent suicide, violence, bullying, and substance misuse by strengthening their protective factors and social networks. Our goal is to help you identify those people, places, things, and activities that help you feel strong and positive. This morning, our peer leaders greeted you in the hallways with posters of inspiration in the languages of our Rutland family. These languages include English, Spanish, Hindi, and Gujarati. Our posters included words of affirmation such as good morning, you belong here, youโre strong, and you matter. We will continue to provide meaningful opportunities to spread messages of Hope, Help, and Strength within our Rutland community.
