Morton News
October 12, 2026
Dear Morton Families,
We hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the fall season! It has been a wonderful start to the school year, and we are so proud of the hard work and growth we are already seeing from our students.
Upcoming Events This Week
Come out and cheer on our Morton students! Our volleyball team travels for an away tournament on Wednesday, October 14, and our football team plays at home on Tuesday, October 13th. We hope to see you in the stands showing your Morton pride!
First Quarter Grades
First quarter is quickly coming to a close, and teachers will submit grades on Monday, October 19. Please encourage your student to check in with their teachers this week to make up work and turn in any late or missing assignments. A little extra effort now can make a big difference!
Drop-In Tutoring
To help students finish the quarter strong, drop-in tutoring will take place this week on Tuesday and Wednesday after school. We encourage all students to sign up and take advantage of this extra support, whether they need help catching up or just want to stay on track. Please see the flyer below for additional information.
Save the Date: Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Conferences are a great opportunity to connect with teachers, celebrate your student’s progress, and talk about goals for the months ahead. No advance sign-up is needed, so stop by at whatever time works best for your schedule. We encourage students to attend alongside their families, since they are the most important part of the conversation! In addition, there will be no school on October 22nd and October 23rd. School will resume, as usual, on Monday, October 26th.
As always, thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to seeing you soon!
