🔕 Chaperone Mode vs. Silent Mode: Unlock More Ways to Use the K12 Zone! 🎓
Teachers can now maximize student engagement in the K12 Zone without needing to actively monitor every session! Understanding the difference between Chaperone Mode and Silent Mode helps you take full advantage of this feature:
👮 Chaperone Mode (Always On)
- Ensures Silent Mode is automatically activated whenever no moderator is present.
- Students can still explore, play games, and view content—but all communication (audio, video, and chat) is disabled for a safe, independent experience.
🔕 Silent Mode (Manually Controlled)
- Can be toggled on or off by moderators while inside the Zone.
- Once all moderators leave, Chaperone Mode reactivates Silent Mode automatically, preventing unsupervised interactions.
📚 How Can You Use This?
✅ Assign independent learning activities in the K12 Zone without needing a live moderator.
✅ Let students explore educational content, complete tasks, or enjoy structured free time safely.
✅ Create silent library spaces, virtual field trips, or interactive learning hubs that students can visit at any time.
✨ With Chaperone Mode, the K12 Zone becomes an even more flexible learning tool—no constant monitoring required!

This year, we’re working together to make the K12 Zone an even more welcoming and engaging space for all students and teachers. Our shared goal is to ensure that:
✅ Every K12 student knows the Zone is a place to connect, make friends, and build community.
✅ Every teacher and student experiences the K12 Zone—exploring its features and possibilities.
✅ Teachers and students are engaging in the Zone for at least 30 minutes a week, making it a fun and valuable part of learning.
We’re excited to continue growing the K12 Zone together! THANK YOU for helping make it a place where students connect, learn, and thrive. 🚀
🌟 School-Level K12 Zone Interns: Flexible Support for Your Zone
Looking for extra support in your school’s K12 Zone? Schools can now have their own high school interns to help plan events, create digital content, and build student connections.
Internships can be structured in a way that works best for your school—pay interns if funding is available, tie the role to a career pathway program, or offer it to students who need volunteer hours. I’ll provide all the training and support needed to set them up for success. Let me know if your school is interested!
