Last week was an exciting week for sports fans, as March Madness came to an end and champions were crowned for both men's and women's basketball. Monday, April 6th was also National Student-Athlete Day, another great opportunity to celebrate the talent, dedication, and hard work of student-athletes across the country. I remain humbled that they trust Temple with their college experience and look forward to honoring them in the coming weeks as the end of spring semester and graduation approaches.

In recognition of National Student-Athlete Day, student-athletes, staff, coaches, and faculty gathered for the Nancy & Donald Resnick Academic Support Center's Student-Athlete Academic Showcase. The event provided student-athletes with opportunities to highlight their achievements and interests outside of their sports. Thank you to Tara Evans and Reid Vanderlinden from the Resnick Center for their leadership in executing such a great event.

A great crowd gathered at Edberg-Olsen Hall for the annual Cherry & White Spring Football Scrimmage last Saturday. Thank you to all the fans, families, and alumni who joined us for an exciting afternoon with Coach Keeler and Temple Football. I hope you are looking forward to the 2026 season as much as we are!

I also want to give a shout out to our staff across our department who planned and executed activations for fans, alumni, families, and all of the Temple community. Their hard work was evident through the entire afternoon. THANK YOU!
