PAE Open House- This Thursday!
This Thursday is our Open House from 6-8 pm. This is your opportunity to see your classroom, meet your child's teachers, and tour the building. We will also have tables set up in the cafeteria representing our SEPAC, the town Library, town softball and others. Upstairs, the book fair will be open in the library.
Book Fair - this week
The Scholastic Book Fair will be in the library on Wednesday, September 23rd from 3:30-6:00pm and during Open House on September 24th from 6:00-8:00pm. A great opportunity to visit with your child and buy a book or two.
Community Meeting
We held our first community meeting of the year on Friday. This year, each grade has created their own flag to bring to community meeting. The students were excited to present them at this first meeting. We also welcomed our new Kindergarten class to PAE. Each year our new kindergarteners are welcomed by a tunnel of staff to join grade 1 -4 at PAE.

Staff Shout Outs
As we begin a new school year, we invite families to help us celebrate the teachers and staff who make Park Avenue Elementary such a special place to learn and grow. If your child’s teacher has made a positive first impression, helped your child feel welcome, sparked excitement about learning, or shown kindness and care, we would love to hear about it! Take a moment to write a Staff Shout-Out and let a staff member know how much their work means to your family. We look forward to celebrating the many ways our staff help students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn!

First 100 riders: use code MAPFRE for free registration
The Pan-Mass Challenge is much more than a bike ride. It is an incredible organization that has raised millions of dollars to support lifesaving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Every participant, volunteer, and supporter plays a role in helping patients and families impacted by cancer. The Kids Ride is a wonderful opportunity for children to experience the joy of giving back, learn the importance of community involvement, and be part of something that truly makes a difference.
There is a $20 registration fee for all riders, but thanks to our generous independent agent partners, the first 100 registered riders will have their registration fee waived when using promo code MAPFRE at checkout.
- Register your children and encourage someone you know to ride! The ride is open to children ages 2 to 12.
- Sign up to volunteer. We have volunteer positions available to adults and teens!
- Spread the word about the ride – forward this email to your family, friends, and neighbors!

Grandparent Support Group
There are several upcoming events for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) South Central MA.
Our next regular GRG Support Group meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 14th, at 9:30 AM in Room A114 at Oxford High School.
We are also excited to host an additional support group meeting at the Webster Sheriff's Department on Friday, October 9th at 12:00 PM. We'll provide free pizza for lunch, and everyone who attends will automatically be entered into a drawing for a family-friendly raffle prize at the end of the meeting.
