Hello Falcon Family!

What an AMAZING school year we are having! I am truly BLESSED to work at such an amazing school with the best staff, students, and families. It is truly an honor. Thank you to all of the families that attended conferences over the past few weeks. It is a priority on our campus to partner with parents, and taking the time to hear more about how your child is doing at school, in person or on the phone, is appreciated. If you were unable to attend the conference, please reach out to your child's teacher. The teachers would love to give you a call to update you on your child's progress.

We have many upcoming events, including the 50th Day of School Dress-up Day, Red Ribbon Week, our Fall Festival, 4th Grade's Music Program and Open House, Chick-fil-A Spirit Day, Fall Book Fair, and much more! See the graphics below for more information on these events. On Wednesday, we welcome back motivational speaker and former college and professional football player, Keith Davis for a Red Ribbon Week Assembly!

As a reminder, please be on the lookout for Free and Reduce Lunch Applications coming home with this week! We are asking all families to complete the application and return it to your child's teacher.

If you would like to help with Fall Festival, we will be collecting donations of water, drinks, and candy beginning now in our front office.

Lastly, we are looking for parents and community members to be on our Campus Educational Improvement Plan committee. This committee meets 3 to 4 times a year to discuss prgress the campus has made towards our goals in the Campus Improvement Plan. If you are or you know a community member that may be interested in being on this committee, please reach out to me directly.

What: Chick-fil-A Spirit Day

Who: CE Students & Families

When: Tuesday, October 29th , from 6:00 am until 9:00 pm

Where: Chick-fil-A Kensington Square in Corinth

Don't forget to let Chick-fil-A know that you are there to support Corinth Elementary when you are ordering. All orders must be placed through the app using the code "CORINTHES".

Students will be allowed to wear their costumes to the Fall Party Day if they wish. They can also dress up like a super hero that day for Red Ribbon Week.

Dress Up Rules:

• Must be within the school dress code
• No masks, face paint, fake blood or weapons
• Please do not bring any accessories for the costumes
• Costumes may not be gory or scary (We will have little ones in our building.)

Thank you for sharing ideas through Possip! We’ve heard from 94 of you so far this year. We are seeing that 97% of you are happy or mostly happy with CORINTH ELEMENTARY this week.

This week we heard members of the school community share examples of praise, appreciation, and feedback or questions.

• Praise for the positive start to the day in the morning carline
• Appreciation for the opportunity for students to learn the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People curriculum
• Feedback about the current restroom policy and how it may affect students
• Feedback on the amount of information that is shared on apps

We are taking all of your feedback and ideas into consideration for our future planning and follow-up. If you have specific concerns regarding your student, please do not respond anontmously or reach out to your child's teacher or campus admininstrators with your concerns. It is impossible for us to address your concerns if we don't know which of our 560+ students the concern involves. We hope to hear from you again on our next Possip Pulse Check!

We believe in the value of Leader in Me and the benefits of students having discussions using the same language at home as they use at school. As a campus, we will begin sending home Leader in Me activities for families to complete together every two weeks. Be on the lookout for the Leader in Me homework coming home with all students this week. If students complete the homework and return it to their teacher, they will receive a charm to add to their charm necklaces kept here at school!

The official Attendance Time for students to be counted as present for the day is 9:30am. Students must be on campus by or before 9:30. The exception is if student's walk in with a doctor's note from the morning. Thank you for your continued support of making sure our students are at school and on time!
