Mr. Cox has joined the Maroon Tide Family as our new Assistant Principal! Mr. Cox, a Grayson graduate comes to us from Montgomery County Public Schools. He brings 20 years of experience as a math teacher, department chair, and STEM teacher,; where he held many school-based leadership roles. Mr. Cox is thrilled to be part of the Maroon Tide Nation.

Outside of school, Mr. Cox enjoys spending time with his wife and three children - with a fourth on the way in January! As you can see by this picture, he also enjoys martial arts!

I think it's fair to say we were ALL tired by Friday, students and staff alike, but what a great week at GHS! Students seem to have gotten into the daily routines and as we visited classrooms this week, students were completing science experiments, learning about the safe use of equipment in their CTE classes, discussing summer reading, singing, and playing their instruments.

Mr. Cox and I shared a video presentation with all students on Monday during FOCUS outlining student expectations to set them up for a great year and on Wednesday we followed up with students at in-person grade-level meetings.

It was great to see students and families out on Friday supporting our football team at the benefit game against Floyd. As you can see above, we've got some more opportunities this week for you all to come as a family and support Maroon Tide Athletics!
