RILEY RECAP - VOLUME 5 ISSUE 6
October 30, 2025
From the Desk of Principal Henderson
Dear Riley Parents, Guardians, and Scholars,
I hope you all had a great start to the second grading period! I want to encourage each of you to continue giving your very best effort. If the first grading period didn’t go as you hoped, this is your opportunity to turn things around and show what you’re capable of. Stay focused, work hard, and keep striving for success—you’ve got this!
Let’s continue to ROAR through this grading period:
R – Respect those around you, including their personal space.
O – Take Ownership in your personal growth, keep striving to be your best self.
A – Attitude matters! Be mindful, as your attitude can influence those around you.
R – Responsibility starts with you. You can’t control others’ actions, but you can control your own. Note that your actions do not only impact you.
I can promise you the best of myself for your students each and every day. Please do not hesitate to contact me at shenderson2@sbcsc.k12.in.us if you have any questions or concerns during the year.
Our Goals:
1) Educate the Whole Student
2) Building Meaningful Relationships
3) A 95% attendance rate
4) A 90% graduation rate
We greatly appreciate the value that each and every one of our scholars and families brings to Riley. WE ARE THE PRIDE OF THE SOUTHSIDE! WE ARE #RILEYSTRONG!
Sincerely,
Shawn Henderson
