Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences February 6th-9th 12:45 PM through 3:45 PM.

These conferences are an important opportunity for you to meet with your child's teacher(s) and discuss their academic progress and any concerns. You may be contacted by your child's teacher to set up a conference. Please understand that due to limited time, teachers are unable to conference with every student. If you are not invited to a conference but would like to meet with your child's teachers, please contact the office at (831)464-5660 or email nbmsoffice@suesd.org to set up a meeting.

If you are asked to attend a conference, please make every effort to attend as it is an important opportunity to discuss your child's progress. It is important that the student attends the conference as well. We understand that some parents may not be able to attend the conference in person so we will make sure to have virtual options available if requested.

During the conference, the teacher(s) will discuss your child's academic performance, including strengths and areas of growth.

We value your partnership in your child's education and believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential for student success. We hope that you will be able to attend the conference and look forward to meeting with you.

LCAP Community Forum LCAP Community Forum

Event Information

LCAP Community Forum @ NBMS PAC

What is this event all about? In the plainest possible language, it's just a chance to learn about our school district. There will be general information presented and then there will be small group sessions on topics such as teaching, learning, budget, food, campuses, and safety. I encourage you to attend if you can. It's simply a get-together to learn about our district and how things are going. Also, we want to hear your voice. We have this plan, technically called the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), but that's just a long way to say it's our main plan for our district. It's the plan that guides us in setting priorities and funding those priorities. You can share your input to help guide us with this main plan by filling out this LCAP Community Survey and by attending on the night of the event. All of our district's administrators will attend the event and we all look forward to chatting with you. There will be childcare and Spanish translation available because we don't want to leave anyone out of this event. There will be refreshments available, too. The agenda for the event is linked here. I hope to see you at our LCAP Community Forum if your schedule allows for it. Take care.

Counselors from the High Schools will be at NBMS on March 8th and 9th

Counselors from the high schools will be here at New Brighton on Friday, March 3rd to present to the students during their PE period. At this meeting, your student should receive printed information about registration and course selection. The counselors will then return to New Brighton on Wednesday, March 8th and Thursday, March 9th during PE to meet with your student about their schedules for next year and answer questions. You are welcome to attend this brief meeting with your student.

Please be sure to review the information that your child brings home from the March 3rd presentations. There will be a lot of important information included for parents to review.
