Original Message:
Dear Families,
I’m excited to share that we are heading to Costa Rica during Summer 2027, and your student is invited!
Travel gives students the chance to step outside of their comfort zones, experience new cultures firsthand, build independence, and create lifelong memories with their peers. Costa Rica offers an amazing combination of adventure, culture, wildlife, and environmental learning that connects so meaningfully to what students experience in and beyond the classroom.
To learn more about the trip, I invite you to join our virtual information meeting:
Costa Rica 2027 Information Night
📅 May 26, 2026
🕢 6:00 PM
📍 In-Person at the Gunning Bedford MS Library
Please RSVP here to join: https://bit.ly/4cREc5t
During the meeting, we’ll discuss:
The itinerary and experiences planned for students
Safety and supervision while traveling
Pricing, payment plans, and fundraising opportunities
Enrollment timelines and next steps
What makes this experience so impactful for students
Whether your family is seriously considering the trip or simply wants to gather information, I encourage you to attend and ask questions.
I look forward to sharing more about this exciting opportunity and hope you can join us on May 26th!
Best,
Sergio TORTOSA and Maria FABRA
Student Medication Pick Up Information & Reminders
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
If your child received medication at school during this school year, please contact the school nurse to arrange pickup of any remaining medication.
For student safety, medications should not be sent home with students. The only exception is for students who have a completed Student Possession and Use of Asthma Quick Relief Inhaler Form on file. In those cases, the inhaler may be sent home with the student.
If you have questions about medication procedures or requirements, please contact Nurse Taylor (olivia.taylor@colonial.k12.de.us).
Important:
Any medication not picked up by the last staff day will be properly disposed of.
Thank you!
