Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying Summer Break. It’s time to get excited for the 2024-2025 school year to begin. With only a month left in our summer vacation, we want to provide you with a few reminders in regards to the upcoming school year.
Summer Reminders
Please prevent summer learning loss. Students should complete the recommended Math and Reading. AMS Summer Learning can be found on the AMS Website.
Supply Lists can be found on the AMS Website
Registration and Re-enrollment
On August 1st you will receive an email containing instructions for Returning Student Enrollment and Registration. Please take time to review and update your child’s information for the school year to include accurate phone numbers, email and home addresses and emergency contact information.
If your child will not attend AMS for the 2024 - 2025 school year please complete the AMS Withdraw Form. Please return the student Chromebook, charger and pay any outstanding fees.

August 12th 3:45pm: 7th & 8th Grade Football Practice @ ASD Turf
August 19th TBD: 7th & 8th Grade Volleyball Practice @ AMS Gym
August 19th 5:30pm - 7:00pm: Back to School Night
August 21st First Day of School & Early Release Wednesday dismissal at 1:55pm
Outdoor Education
8th Grade trip Maroon Bells Wilderness and Marble Base Camp
September 5th - 12th.
September 13th - No school for 8th graders
Mandatory student attendance week prior to ODE
Start breaking in your hiking boots and start collecting items from the packing list
5th Grade Trips to Arches: September / October
1st Trip: 2 classes September 17th - 20th
2nd Trip: 2 classes September 30th - October 3rd
