Show Our Teachers Some Love!
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and it’s the perfect time to celebrate the incredible educators who show up every day for our kids with patience and heart. We are so lucky to have a staff that goes above and beyond to make middle school a little less messy and a lot more meaningful.
You don't need a grand gesture to make a teacher's day. A simple note from you or your student is always appreciated. If you'd like to do a bit more, PTO is still looking for volunteers. See the link below to sign-up!
Cunha Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Updates
Staff Appreciation Week is May 4 through May 8. The Cunha PTO is hosting a brunch on Monday and a lunch on Friday. Sign up to help out! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C054AAFAE2DABF9C52-63807432-staff#/
Coastside Gives is this Thursday, May 7. Cuhna PTO and Cunha Athletic Boosters are combining for a Power Hour from 2:00-2:59 pm. All donations of $10 or more, given from different email addresses to coastsidegives.org/CunhaPTO website, help win an additional $1000! Any contributions to the Cunha PTO, and prize money raised during that hour, will be split with CAB, so you can really stretch your donation. Thanks for supporting our Cubs!
Cunha Athletics Boosters (CAB) Updates
Support Our Cubs!
It has been an incredibly busy and exciting week for Cunha Athletics. Our student athletes have been giving it their all across a variety of sports, including tennis, soccer, boys volleyball, wrestling, and track & field. It is a great time to be a Cub! Please text any and all updates with pictures to Breanna at 831-682-1398.
Coastside Gives: Help Us Win $1,000
The biggest giving day of the year is almost here. On Thursday, May 7, we are participating in Coastside Gives to raise essential funds for our athletic programs.
The Goal: We need to raise at least $350 before May 7 to qualify for any prizes.
The Challenge: During the Cunha Power Hour at 2:00 PM, the organization that receives the most donations from unique email addresses will win an additional $1,000 for their program! Cunha PTO and CAB are sharing the Power Hour so you'll be supporting both groups!
Every donation counts, no matter the size. Please consider supporting our athletes by donating at: http://coastsidegives.org/organization/CAB
Celebrate Your Graduate
Show your school spirit and celebrate your student's milestone! We are still selling lawn signs to promote our promoting 8th graders and incoming 6th graders (current 5th graders). These signs are a wonderful way to recognize their hard work and brighten up the neighborhood.
Pick up your sign at the CAB online shop: https://www.cunhaathleticboosters.org/shop
Thank you for your continued support of our sports programs and our student athletes. Go Cubs!

Hazel Health
We know that students learn best when they feel best. According to the National Center for Education Statistics: 70% of public schools say more students are seeking mental health services.
This school year, we’re proud to offer all students with $0 access to online therapy and counseling services, through our partnership with Hazel Health. Services are 100% safe and confidential.
Your student can speak 1-on-1 with a licensed therapist from the convenience of school or home, with your consent. Hazel Health provides high-quality care for all students — no matter their insurance or immigration status.
Hazel Health’s licensed therapists can help students build the tools and skills they need to succeed in and out of the classroom:
Improve communication and confidence
Build healthy friendships and relationships
Develop coping skills to manage emotions
Navigate academic stress and pressure
Hazel’s short-term online therapy program has been proven to reduce symptoms of common mental health concerns — and gives kids tools to cope with challenges they face at school and beyond. Students cannot receive care without your consent, so please take 5 minutes to sign up today at hazel.co.
Say Something Anonymous Reporting System
The Say Something-Anonymous Reporting System (ARS) program empowers students to be Upstanders and say something to a Trusted Adult when they recognize warning signs and threats. The Tip Line allows you to submit secure, anonymous safety concerns to help someone who may hurt themselves or others.
To submit a tip, click the picture below, call 1-844-572-9669 or text 79775.
