Bulldog Bright Spot
Mason Middle School eighth grade students had the chance to tour career and technical education programs at the Wilson Talent Center (WTC) last week. Each year, eighth and tenth grade students visit the WTC to learn about the many programs offered to high school juniors and seniors.
Students enrolled in the WTC attend their WTC program classes for half of their school day spending the rest of their day at their home high school. Students earn high school credit and have the opportunity to earn college credits, industry credentials and hands-on work experience. Learn more about the WTC and the programs offered.
Elementary PTO Social Hour
Parents and families of students at Harvey Education Center, Alaiedon Elementary, North Aurelius Elementary and Steele Elementary schools are invited to a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Open House tomorrow, Thursday, May 28, from 6-8 PM, at Bestsellers on the second floor!
Drop in any time to meet new people and learn more about PTO groups in each building and how they can work together to build community and support fellow Bulldog families.
Medication Pick-Up
All student medications must be collected from building offices by noon on Friday, June 5, 2026. A parent or guardian MUST pick up all medications. If medications are not picked up by this date, they will be disposed of appropriately. A new prescription medication form must be completed and signed by a physician and parent each school year. The non-prescription medication form must be completed and signed by a parent each school year for both elementary and secondary students.
Join the CADL Summer Reading Challenge
The Capital Area District Libraries (CADL) 2026 Summer Reading Challenge runs June 5 - August 8, 2026. This year's theme is "Uncover a Story," inviting you to dig into a good book, history, science, art and more. Reading is a fun and relaxing way to spend the summer and a great way for kids to avoid the summer slide—the decline in reading ability and other academic skills that can occur while school is not in session.
A great way to avoid the slide is to sign up for CADL's free Summer Reading Challenge. Participants simply track the number of days they read and do fun activities to earn points they can redeem for prizes. All ages are invited to participate!
