After a security incident last week, there have been changes in Canvas. While Canvas remains fully operational for accessing assignments and curriculum materials, some apps and integrations have been disconnected to ensure staff and student data remains secure.

• The grade passback connection to Aeries is still offline. This sync will remain disabled until both PUSD and Aeries confirm it is safe to reconnect. When the integration has been restored, we will let teachers know via the Canvas Update.
• Apps that have been integrated in the past, such as EdPuzzle and Pear Deck were disconnected by their respective companies. If an app is District-provided (curriculum, Canva, etc.), then it will be reconnected once we have received the all-clear. If the app is not District-provided, it will not be reconnected.

PUSD’s Eaton Fire Community Survey was recently emailed to families. If you did not receive it, please check your spam or junk folder for an email from Hanover Research on behalf of PUSD and mark it as “Not Spam” to ensure you receive future important messages.

We appreciate your patience and encourage you to participate in this confidential survey. Your feedback helps PUSD better understand how to support our students, families, and staff as we continue to recover together.

The Scope and Sequences and folders within the Curriculum Shared Drive are starting the process of updating. As they get updated, it's important that you are able to view these files. If you do not see the PUSD Curriculum Drive, be sure it is not hidden. Follow these instructions to unhide a shared drive.

1. Open Google Drive on your computer.
2. In the left-hand navigation menu, click Shared drives.
3. Look at the top right area of your screen and click the Hidden shared drives link.
4. Locate the Shared Drive you want to recover.
5. Right-click the drive name and choose Unhide shared drive.

From May 4th - June 4th, Seniors, students who are leaving PUSD, and Staff who are retiring or leaving PUSD will be able to transfer or download their files. Seniors and Staff members will be able to transfer their content to a personal Gmail account. All other students will be able to download their content. If you have any questions regarding this process, please reach out to EdTech.

Many schools have started and some have finished. But some have not yet started. Two and a half weeks remain for PFT. Please reach out if you have any question or concerns!

If your site received headphones for testing that have the USB input, you will need to switch the output on the Chromebook BEFORE you open up the Secure Browser to begin testing.

1. Log in to your Chromebook normally

2. Click on the time in the bottom-right corner to open the quick settings menu.

3. Click the arrow (>) next to the volume slider.

4. Select the desired audio device under the "Output" section.

5. Log out of your Chromebook and open the Secure Browser.

To protect the integrity of CAASPP testing, students must not have access to any electronic devices (phones, smartwatches, etc.) during testing sessions. Ensuring devices are collected or secured ahead of time helps prevent testing irregularities and protects valid student results.
