Updates and Info from Dr. T
Farley Elementary School - August 15, 2025
Fund Raiser Kick-off!
This year, we have partnered with Buddy-a-thon to raise funds for additional math intervention for our students. With the LIteracy Act, there is a lot of emphasis directed towards Reading, and we would like to also focus on Math. At Farley, our Reading scores are very good, but we need to grow in the area of math. Everything we make from this fund raiser will be applied to before/after school tutoring for math, additional resources, and intervention. Participation is voluntary, and we also accept donations.
Two weeks completed (170 more days to go!)
Carline Updates: Thank you to everyone for displaying your carline numbers. We will send another set of hangtags home at Open House. In the morning, students may only be dropped off in carline. Please do not let students out in the parking lot to skip driving through carline. Parent walk-ups are not allowed past the first week unless your child has a special need. There is not supervision prior to 7:30AM and this is the earliest students should be dropped off for safety reasons.
CLASDOJO - make sure you join your teacher's ClassDojo. This is the easiest way to receive class updates from the teacher.
Quick plug for Joining PTA: Our PTA is a great resource and an easy way to stay connected. The dues are very affordable ($7) and we are always looking for volunteers in any capacity. ALSO - All Pro Dads was started last year and we look to increase our participation and see APD's positive influence throughout the school year.

Meet Mr. Alexander Gregg
Ms. Greggs joins us after four years working as a school counselor in Nashville. He is thrilled to be at Farley as our new Counselor.
Mr. Gregg is dedicated to supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of every child. As a parent, you can rely on the counselor to be a resource for your child if they need someone to talk to about worries, friendships, or challenges at school. The counselor teaches important skills like problem-solving, kindness, and how to handle big feelings, and is available to help with issues related to academics or behavior. The counselor also works closely with teachers and families to ensure your child receives the support they need and can help connect you with additional resources if needed. Ultimately, the counselor’s goal is to help every student feel safe, confident, and ready to succeed at school.
