Wiley Wednesday

Last week, we introduced 'Wiley Wednesday' updates and provided an overview of the information you can expect to receive each week. Fourth Wednesday updates (that's today!) will highlight celebrations and staff introductions.

Over the next few months, we will provide introductions and 'getting to know you' information for our entire staff. This month, though, we want to shine the spotlight on the newest members of our Wiley staff. Be sure to offer them a friendly smile tomorrow evening when you see them at 'Meet the Teacher'! You can read more information about these teachers, and the entire Wiley staff, on our website - www.wcpss.net/wileyes.

Please join us in congratulating Ms. Ware! Last week, she was named as a finalist for Wake County Public School System's Assistant Principal of the Year! We are delighted to recognize Ms. Ware for her wonderful contributions to the Wiley community. So deserving!! Read more here.

This week, we were notified that Wiley has met the criteria to become Nationally Certified by Magnet Schools of America. Currently, Wiley joins only 54 schools across the nation with this designation! National certification is a tremendous accomplishment and recognition! Go Wiley!

Mrs. Christiansen, our media center coordinator, is a new reviewer for School Library Journal. Her first review, Fly Guy's Big Family, was published in the July 2017 edition! She, along with Wiley students, will be reviewing more books at the Media Center website: wileyreads.com.
