BIRTHDAYS AT WILD ROSE
We love to celebrate birthdays at Wild Rose. Your child’s birthday will be announced on our morning announcements or, Panther TV, when it is up and running. We have a Panther Paw Book VENDING MACHINE!!! Every student will receive a special token to choose a book for their birthday!
We do not allow food or other items to be brought in for birthday celebrations, so please do not send anything to school with your child.
Some of our classrooms have a tradition of inviting parents or other special guests on the day of the birthday to read a book. Classroom teachers will be sharing that information in their class newsletters.
We do allow a parent(s) or special adult in a student's life to come and have lunch with them. We do not allow other siblings to attend, and do limit visitors to a maximum of 2 adults. You are welcome to bring your student a special lunch. Please let the office know if you will be coming in to have a birthday lunch with your child.
SCHOOL PHYSICALS
School Physical and Immunization Requirements:
Attention parents of incoming Kindergarten, 6th and 9th grade students! Per Illinois school code, your student will need a school physical and a complete record of immunizations prior to the first day of school next year, which is August 12, 2026. Make your appointments today. These appointments fill up quickly! Please contact your school nurse prior to May 27, 2026 if you need a copy of your child's immunizations. Please note - a sport physical is not the same as a school physical! You may turn the required forms into your school nurse anytime. Please remember to make a copy for your own records!
FIFTH GRADE CHOIR
Message From: Sharon Lenning
Subject: 5th Grade Choir
Dear Families of 5th Grade Students,
We are thrilled to announce that this year D303 is once again offering a 5th Grade Choir Program for ALL elementary schools! This program will run in a similar fashion as the current Elementary Band and Orchestra programs, with a weekly before school rehearsal, but will NOT conflict with current band and orchestra rehearsals. The choir program will run from late September through May, with our first rehearsal being Monday, September 28th!
Choir will meet on Monday mornings at Wild Rose Elementary in the music room from 8:05 - 8:50 a.m. Parents / guardians are responsible for dropping their choir students off at Wild Rose. There will not be choir rehearsals on student non-attendance days.Students will also be asked to purchase a choir t-shirt. There will be 2 performance dates:
There is an ensemble fee to participate in choir. The fee for choir is $20.00 and will be billed to you through PushCoin a few weeks after you sign up.
one Tuesday, January 26th at East High School and one Monday, May 3rd featuring just the 5th grade choirs. The January 26th concert is called Vertical Voices and we will be singing with other choirs 5th-12th grade. It is a great opportunity for our younger choir members to see and hear what they do in middle and high school!
