Updates from Allenwood School
Principal's Message
Dear Allenwood Families,
December is a wonderful month in an elementary school. The students' excitement for the holidays is truly contagious and brings an extra layer of joy and energy to our hallways. This time of year reminds us how special it is to learn, grow, and celebrate together as a school community.
We are excited to share that Allenwood will be hosting a holiday themed Spirit Week! Please see the flyer below for the daily themes and details. We cannot wait to see our students show their school spirit in creative and festive ways.
On December 19th, our students will participate in a special assembly called "Christmahanukwanzamadan". This engaging program will help students learn about a variety of holiday celebrations and traditions from around the world, fostering understanding, respect, and appreciation for our diverse community.
Please note that December 23rd is a half day, with dismissal at 1:05 p.m. Following dismissal, staff and students will begin their winter break on December 24th. We hope everyone enjoys a well deserved rest. School will reopen, and students and staff will return to work on January 5th.
As we close out the year, I want to extend my warmest wishes to you and your family. I hope that you enjoy a wonderful holiday season filled with peace, joy, and time together.
Sincerely,
James Sterenczak
Principal
