School Board Appreciation Month School Board Appreciation Month

Our School Board is awesome! From volunteering to chaperone field trips to visiting schools and having lunch with students to hosting CTE students for industry tours to serving as the sports teams’ doctor, and more, our board members do far more than simply attend meetings.

Thank you, Board!

Picturing the Future

MHS teacher Chip Ford hosted a virtual panel discussion with women in the Fabrication and Welding industry to allow Mac High girls to hear about the varied opportunities in the field. The program is part of the IGNITE program, a worldwide effort to encourage more girls to pursue STEM careers.

Ford also invited former welding students to share their professional experiences, including Jenna Shoemaker (‘07) who works for Solid Form Fabrication; Carly Loving Diehl (‘16), who is a bridge engineer-in-training; and Dahlia Garcia (‘20), who works for Forest River Trailers.

Mac High Alum Highlight
