Good Afternoon Parents/Guardians,
We hope that everyone weather the weekly snow storm and is prepared for the blast that is to come this weekend.
This week we had Doug Sutherland come and talk with all of our GBS students. He shared a story with students that some might be familiar with called IALAC, which stands for "I Am Lovable And Capable" It is really about the importance of treating others in a positive way, choosing words that heal over words that hurt and understanding the challenges of Intent VS Impact. We are very grateful of the time that he was able to dedicate to our students and encourage them in building positive relations with their peers.
Don't forget the opportunity to "Skate Your Heart Away: A GBS Skate Night Event" tonight from 6:30-8:00. Families are welcome to come and enjoy some time together, or perhaps you'd like to drop off your student. Cost for admission is $3 and snacks will be available from the PTO!
