Bus Passes & Student Tracking
Bus passes are provided to each student who registered for bus transportation this school year. Beginning last school year, students scan their card on the reader mounted on the bus dashboard near the entrance door when on-boarding and off-boarding. The district and parents will be able to view student card scan activity that provides location, time, and route.
Ready to track the bus? Click the link below to download the app and get connected to your child's route.

District iPads & School Breaks
As we approach Thanksgiving and winter breaks, our focus begins to shift toward recharging after a productive start to the school year.
To best support our studentsβ well-being and ensure our technology remains in top shape for our classrooms, we collect school-issued iPads prior to our Thanksgiving, winter break, and spring break.
The βwhyβ behind this decision includes:
Encouraging Unplugged Time: We have heard a shared desire from families and staff to help lower screentime. By keeping devices at school, we hope to remove a digital distraction during extended periods and allow students to truly disconnect.
Strengthening Cybersecurity & Maintenance: Just like our students, our technology also needs a chance to refresh. These extended breaks allow our technology team to perform important system updates, boost cybersecurity measures, and handle routine repairs.
Loss Prevention & Device Safety: Storing iPads securely at school during busy holiday and travel seasons prevents accidental damage, loss or misplacement.
While there are no changes to our current practice at OP, this communication is meant to support transparency between school and home. Thank you for your understanding and for continuously partnering with us to prioritize the academic and emotional well-being of our students, your children.
