KSD 140 Connection
June 2026
Summer may be here, but there's still plenty happening across the district. It has been wonderful to see students engaged in learning, exploring new opportunities, and continuing to grow during summer school. Thank you to the teachers and staff for making these opportunities possible.
Beyond the classroom, our teams are already preparing for the upcoming school year. From curriculum planning and professional learning to facility improvements and summer projects, we are focused on ensuring everything is ready to welcome students back in August.
I hope you are finding time to relax and enjoy all that summer has to offer. We look forward to sharing more updates throughout the summer and welcoming everyone back for an outstanding 2026-27 school year.
Sincerely,
Dr. Dan Callaghan
Superintendent

Alex Weinberg Named Principal of Keller Elementary School
Alex Weinberg has been selected to lead Keller Elementary School as its next principal. An experienced educator and current assistant principal at Grissom Middle School, he brings a strong background in teaching, learning, and student support to the role.
"Alex leads with humility, cares deeply about students, and understands the importance of building strong relationships with families and staff," said Superintendent Dr. Dan Callaghan. "I am confident he will be a great fit for the Keller community."
Weinberg holds a Master’s in School Leadership from Concordia University - Chicago, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign.
