Officials Appreciation Month Continues
Centennial High School, along with all NW Oregon Conference schools, is proud to recognize and celebrate the dedication of our athletic officials throughout the month of October.
Officials play a vital role in high school athletics—ensuring fairness, sportsmanship, and integrity in every contest. We are grateful for their commitment, professionalism, and the countless hours they dedicate to supporting our student-athletes and school communities.
Please join us in showing appreciation for our officials this month. A simple “thank you” at a game goes a long way!

Big Win vs Canby
The Eagles again went the distance on the road, this time at Canby, battling through five sets before securing the 3-2 match win, with a 5th match final score of 15-7.
The Eagles will try to keep the momentum rolling vs. Hillsboro on Thursday, then head into the final match before the postseason vs. Wilsonville.
Volleyball vs Hillsboro 3-0
Centennial Volleyball turned in a dominant performance Tuesday night, defeating Hillsboro in straight sets — 25-14, 25-15, 25-15. The Eagles came out strong from the opening serve, setting the tone with energy, communication, and crisp execution on both offense and defense.
Behind a balanced attack and solid serving, Centennial controlled the pace throughout the match. The team’s consistent play at the net and smart ball movement helped them maintain momentum and close out each set with confidence.

CHS Community Attendance Updates:
Regular attendance is very important!
Enrollment of our high school (both in person and virtual) is currently 1769 students, we have a 86.2 % attendance rate and 55% of our students are attending 90% or more of school days.
Chronic absenteeism is when a student misses at least 10% of school days in a year for any reason, including excused and unexcused absences and suspensions. Chronic absenteeism significantly jeopardizes graduation by causing students to miss instruction, fall behind in coursework, and be less likely to graduate on time.
Chronic absenteeism can have negative impacts on academics, as well as building habits for students that can create many challenges to success as adults.
Here is more information on the importance of attendance in secondary school:
