HARD WORK PAYS OFF!
Week of January 29th
Good Afternoon Smith Parents/Guardians,
Last week our 8th Grade Leopards, applying for Early College High School, had an opportunity to tour both ECHS and CTC. Students learned about extra-curricular activities available to them while at ECHS and resources that are available to help them be successful. I look forward to seeing the success that many of these Leopards will have while at ECHS.
Congratulations to our theater arts student for a great UIL One-Act Play performance Friday afternoon! We are very proud of all of your HARD WORK!!
Below are some of the events happening at Smith this week:

Required Shots for Next Year 7th Graders
Parents/Guardians of Upcoming 7th grade students:
This is a reminder to get your future 7th grader vaccinated to help prevent the busy back to school rush. This is to include any other vaccines that are reported as missing during the year. State law requires one dose of the meningococcal vaccine (MCV4) and one dose of the tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis(TDAP) for your student to start and/or enroll in school. Please take care of this as soon as possible as clinics tend to run out of doses as it gets closer to the start of school. If you have any questions or are not sure if your student is up to date, please call the clinic at 254-336-1074 or 1075. Thanks!
Doors Open at 7:30 AM
This is a reminder (especially with the cold temperatures) our doors do not open until 7:30 am each morning.
We do not have staff on duty before this time to supervise students.
