3. Labor Day, Schools Closed - September 1
Please note that school will be closed on Monday, 9/1, in observance of Labor Day. We wish you a relaxing holiday weekend.
4. FCS Device Protection Purchasing Deadline - September 3
FCS is offering an optional Device Protection Plan. The plan provides an affordable way to protect against unexpected fees due to accidental damage, loss or theft of your student's FCS-issued laptop. You can purchase this plan in Infinite Campus or by calling the Tech Help Desk at (470)254-4357.
5. Winter Sports Physical Deadline - September 5
Sports physicals for winter activities must be submitted no later than September 5th. Submitting the forms early gives our coaches time to correct errors before tryouts begin, preventing your student from missing tryout days.
Winter Sports include: Basketball (Foundation Sport Open to 6th-8th), Tennis (7th & 8th Only), Tumbling (7th & 8th Only), Boys Volleyball (7th & 8th Only)
6. Chorus All-State Applications Due - September 12
Students should speak to Mr. Robinson if they have questions about how to apply.
7. New Additions to the Panther Store
All music (band, chorus & orchestra) & fall sports hoodies & t shirts have been added to the website. Sports & music spirit wear purchased through the Panther Store is uniform-approved. In addition, dress down day approved RCMS flannel pajamas have been added to the website. Shop the Panther Store by clicking HERE.
8.Parent Party - October 3
Make plans to attend the RCMS Parent Party & Auction, benefitting the RCMS Foundation. Tickets include admission to the party, drink tickets, food and -most importantly- the chance to meet and mingle with the RCMS parent community! Tickets are available HERE.
9. Pantherpalooza Fall Festival- October 9
Students are invited to stay after school for Pantherpalooza on Thursday, 10/9 from 4-6:30 pm for games and concessions on the RCMS field. Tickets can be purchased HERE for $25 before October 5th, grab yours now before the price increases. Foundation Silver Memberships and above receive one free Pantherplaooza ticket.
10. Free & Reduced Lunch Applications- Complete ASAP
To ensure your child continues to receive school meals without interruption, we urge you to complete a new meal application as soon as possible. Applications can be submitted online by visiting www.myschoolapps.com.
Please note: If your student previously attended Lake Forest Elementary, unlike LFE, Ridgeview is NOT a Community Eligibility Provision school. This means students do not automatically receive free meals at breakfast or lunch, but must complete an application in order to do so.
